"Ultra Lite"

Losing weight is usually the easy part. However, the difficulty for most people is keeping it off. In order to lose weight and maintain that weight loss you need more than a 'diet'. I use the Ultra Lite system in my clinic because I have found it to be a very effective and easy to follow weight loss program. It is a complete weight and health management system that is dispensed only by naturopaths and other health care practitioners.

The key to healthy, effective weight loss is the correct balance of carbohydrates, protein and fats. This 'balance' can be different for different people so an individual approach to weight loss is essential. I will work closely with you to tailor the program to suit their individual needs.

One of the major features of the Ultra Lite program is that it is educational. You will learn about the role of essential fatty acids, and how much fluid you should have each day. Most importantly you will learn about yourself - which foods and how much of them suit you best.

On this program you will eat three meals a day each consisting of carbohydrate and protein. There is no need to buy special foods - you will be eating food that you already have in your pantry, which means the rest of the family can eat the same food. No need to prepare different meals.

While on this program you will also take 4 nutritional sachets each day. These come in a variety of flavors (very nice) and are simply mixed with water. They contain a balanced mix of vitamins, minerals and amino acids to assist with the weight loss. They are not meal replacement sachets. By taking these and eating the correct food you will avoid the cravings and tiredness often associated with dieting and you will feel fitter, healthier and more vital with an increased enthusiasm for life.

Once you have lost the desired weight you will be put on the maintenance program where you learn about negative calorie foods and how to manage your carbohydrate intake in the longer term. With this approach not only will you lose weight, you will be able to keep it off by learning healthier dietary and lifestyle options. By following a few simple guidelines, you will be able to maintain this new feeling of zest and well-being.
